Lead the design of structured Kinyarwanda decodable readers, teacher instructional routines, and formative literacy assessments in close coordination with the Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB).

As Senior Foundational Literacy Curriculum Specialist, you will guide technical pedagogy work across 640 primary schools in Rwanda. Working in close collaboration with the Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB) and district coaching teams, you will develop decodable classroom readers, teacher guides, and continuous formative assessment frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Lead syllabus and curriculum alignment with national foundational literacy benchmarks.
Produce structured lesson plans and phonetic decodable texts in Kinyarwanda.
Facilitate master-trainer modules for school-based teacher mentors.
Analyze termly literacy assessment data to iterate instructional materials.

What we are looking for

Master's degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or Applied Linguistics.
Minimum 7 years experience in early-grade literacy or curriculum design.
Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English.
